Books for 2 Year Old Preschool Curriculum Read Alouds

Early childhood educators and experts share their favorite toddler books to add to your little learner's library.

Toddlerhood is a not bad time to create a reading ritual with your kid. Bring books to life with funny voices, sounds and movement. Reread their favorites (equally if yous have a pick) and break to let them finish the sentence or say the wrong word on purpose and see if they correct you. Talk about the pictures on each page and depict what is happening. A positive reading feel that is fun and engaging helps your toddler build early literacy skills, develop a lifelong honey of reading and nurture a stronger bail with you lot.

Circus Ship is sure to delight adults and animate being-loving little learners akin. The lyrical story is fun to read, and the charming illustrations offer lots of details for tots to discover. There'south even a page of hibernate-and-seek animals to observe.

Llama Llama Red Pajama

We love the Llama Llama series for exploring various social and emotional themes. This detail story addresses the trials of bedtime and separation feet. The wonderful illustrations bring feelings to life as Baby Llama wails for his mama in the darkness of his room. The reassuring message "Mama Llama's ever near, even if she's non right here," is easy for toddlers to sympathise and echo when they're experiencing their own feelings of separation anxiety.

A great introduction to set for potty training.

Raindrop, Plop
